An external decoupling capacitor is required to stabilize internal voltage. The capacitor should be
beneficially effective at higher frequencies and maintain more stable capacitance irrespective of
temperature change. In general, ceramic capacitors are recommended. The capacitance varies by
such conditions as operating temperature, DC bias, and aging. To select an appropriate capacitor,
these conditions should be considered. Then refer to the recommended capacitor specifications listed
in Table 6.1.
The traces for the capacitor and the VDC1/VDC0 pins should be as short and wide as physically
possible.
