Connecting to a CAN network
Before connecting the ST7MDT2-DVP2 to another CAN node or network, please
check the following points:

Pin descriptions
You may connect an application board to the ST7MDT2-DVP2 development board
for evaluation or debugging in linked emulation mode. Signals are transmitted via a
passive probe to be plugged in the application board at the location of the
emulated device.
Tables 4 to 7 show the pin number assignment for all the passive probes’
connectors on the application board. The development kit board J1 and J2
connectors schematics which follow can help you locate the corresponding signals.
Connect the ST7MDT2-DVP2 CAN connector with the CAN connector of the
demo board.
Set the 5 V CAN jumper if you want the ST7MDT2-DVP2 to supply the demo
board with 5 V.
Make sure that the CAN line drivers used by the other nodes in the network are
compatible with the CAN high speed standard (ISO 11898-2).
Verify that the pin assignment is compatible with the CiA DS102, see 1.3 table
“CAN connector pin assignment”.
Select one of the ST7 devices with CAN (ST72511, ST72512, ST72532).
Configure the ST7 CAN cell baud rate according to the baud rate of the other
nodes.
Set the CAN_SEL jumper.
Connect the ST7MDT2-DVP2 CAN connector to the CAN network.
