6.0 Product Marking
USB Flash Drive will be shipped with manufacturing info laser etched onto the device, thereby
providing the option for lot traceability and full access to the Bill of Material. Figure 5 shows the
product marking for both enclosures of the UFD.

The front side of the USB Flash Drive shows the Kanban ID and BOM Assembly Number; the back
side shows standards logos for which the UFD was certified. Table 16 below lists in detail what info
can be obtained from the manufacturing information that is laser etched into the device.
