The unique compound joint design allows the jaws to open and close parallel to one another. This
makes them ideal for holding and gripping components and manipulating wire. Comes with anti-rust
finish with bright nickel sealed handles and smooth fully heat-treated black jaws for durability.
When to Choose Parallel Action Pliers
Parallel Action Pliers are the right choice when you need to hold an object still while applying
pressure on it. Non-parallel pliers let an object slip forward when pressure is applied. The
configuration of Parallel Action Pliers holds the object firmly even when the job calls for firm pressure.

Flat nose pliers with a wire cutter. Has serrated jaws with a v-slot. Model 10761 has
a maximum jaw opening of 0.4” (10mm) and a soft wire cutting capacity of
0.1”/2.5mm. Model 10764 has a jaw opening of 0.7”/17mm and a soft wire cutting
capacity of 0.24” (6.0mm).
The 8” Flat Nose plier has serrated jaws with a v-slot that allows you to feed wire down
the throat of the plier and hold it firmly in place. The plier has a maximum jaw opening
of 0.7” (17mm).
The essential feature of these diagonal cutters is the accuracy of the cutting edges and the
quality of the steel and heat treatment. The compound lever design gives good mechanical
advantages allowing the pliers to cut piano wire with handle loads significantly less than
conventional forged pliers of equivalent size.
