FCI has been offering gold plated Millipacs receptacle connectors complying with Telecordia CO and
IEC performance levels.
FCI is now introducing Palladium-Nickel with Gold Flash plating (GXT) as additional plating material for
the Millipacs Receptacle series connectors. Millipacs with GXT plating has been tested against
Telecordia CO and IEC performance levels. FCI will now have the flexibility of offering both the type
(Gold or GXT) of plating material against the same specification. To strengthen the competitive position,
FCI will switch to GXT option as preferred plating system for Millipacs Receptacle connectors.
Standardization of performance specification according to Telcordia GR-1217-CORE performance level
5 (CO) and IEC performance levels using Gold or Palladium Nickel alloy over gold flash (GXT) as plating
materials in the contact area.
