insulation covering when heated to above 625°F. FDA approved per title 21- Food & Drug #121.2555, Oct. 13, 1962.

SPTFE
Semi-rigid high shrink ratio tubing is the most difficult of the four tubing materials to shrink because of the extreme shrink
temperature. The most reliable way to shrink STPFE is a controlled oven temperature. Shrink can be accomplished with
heat gun or welding torch but is not recommended. It is very difficult to use these methods because they have a ten-
dency to overheat the material in one area, while the remainder of the material is too cool to shrink. Extra care must be
exercised in heating tubing during the shrink process, it will become completely clear when it reaches the gel state. Will
completely recover to its specified size provided a slow cooling process is allowed. Meets MIL-I-23053/12 Class 5.
