Description
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is a tough 1.5mm thick material. It is finished with an 'orange
peel surface'. The EVA mat is a highly conductive mat. J801 and J802 mats are riveted in two
corners with 10 mm studs for connecting to ground cords. They may be laid loose on the bench
top or glued down as suits the situation.
Because this mat is highly conductive, it should not be used in areas where electrical mains or
other live conductors are available.
Cleaning with a damp cloth or warm soapy water, or Vermason bench mat cleaner, code J1601
is recommended but the use of wax or polish must be avoided in order not to build an
insulative layer.
Note: This mat is too conductive to meet the requirements of IEC 61340-5!
