The R1-1000 is equipped with 28 joined 1 Ohm resis-
tances which may be activated singularly by means of
sliding switches. The staggering of the resistance values
in 1-2-3-4 steps allows an airtight adjustment of the resis-
tance values in 7 decades (1 Ohm to 1,11111 MOhm).
The adjustment of 156 kOhm e.g. is made by choosing
the following switches:100 kOhm, 40 kOhm + 10 kOhm, 4
kOhm + 2 kOhm.
The supply is through 4 mm safety sockets.

COSINUS R1-1000
The R1-3000 compared to the R1-1000 offers a higher
maximum power rating of 3 W. Additionally, the decade
can be protected from an overload by using a quick-acting
fine-wire fuse (a 400 mA fuse is supplied as standard
accessory). By a non-fused resistance tap the internal
resistance of the fuse can be by-passed. This ensures
accuracy, particularly when low resistance values are
concerned.
