DTX CableAnalyzer
The DTX CableAnalyzer is a test platform that can function as an optical loss test set
(OLTS) and/or an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
Loss/length testing with fiber loss length modules can provide a Basic or Tier 1 fiber
certification. This certification test compares absolute and length measurements to
industry standards for the application that will run over the cabling.
OTDR testing provides a graphical signature (trace) of the fiber’s attenuation along its
length. OTDR testing can complement loss/length testing with an Extended or Tier 2
certification. Extended fiber certification characterizes individual connectors and splices
and ensures the workmanship and quality of the installation meet design and warranty
specifications.

Add basic fiber certification capability to your DTX CableAnalyzer. Certify fiber loss,
length and polarity quickly and simply with the one-button Autotest. Featuring
automated testing of two fibers, each at two wavelengths, optical length measurement
and pass/fail analysis. The fastest test solution that yields the greatest time and cost
savings. Troubleshoot problems visually with the built-in VFL. Save, upload and report
results using LinkWare PC software. Available multimode and singlemode modules enable
certification of both fiber types.
