Product Binning
Typical manufacturing processes of semiconductor products result in a variation in performance
surrounding the typical data sheet values. In order to minimize variation in the end product or application,
Bridgelux bins its LED Arrays for color.
Bridgelux LED Arrays are labeled using a 2-digit alphanumeric bin code. This bin code is printed on the
back of each LED Array in the following format:
A B
Where:
A B – designates color bin (P3, P4, Q3, etc.)
All product packaged within a single tube are of the same color bin combination (or bin code). Using
these codes it is possible to determine the best product utilization to deliver the consistency required in a
given application.
