i960 Development Tools
For over ten years Intel has been providing a complete development environment for the 32-bit
embedded RISC market. The i960® processor family is supported by more than 40 vendors,
offering 100+ development tools, such as in-circuit emulators, compilers, operating systems,
evaluation boards, assemblers, debuggers (gdb960) monitor (MON960) and more. These tools

CTOOLS
Intel's CTOOLS provides a complete set of application development tools for developing
embedded designs. This includes advanced optimizing, C/C++ compilers, an assembler, a linker,
utilities, a GUI-based debugger and a variety of libraries including floating-point emulation.
Besides operating with popular operating systems, CTOOLS also incorporates common
specifications in all areas. Compatibility with known specifications makes new users productive
immediately and ensures access to existing application code. CTOOLS can be used across all
members of the i960 processor family. Command line switches allow the compiler to take
advantage of specific architectural features.

The i960 processor QUICKval kits provide everything needed to evaluate the performance of the
i960 processor. The kit offers a fast, easy, and low cost method for evaluating your application on
