Figure 14 shows the mechanism for receiving user commands over the SCI peripheral. The SCI peripheral
signals an event when it receives a character, causing the SCI receive interrupt routine to execute. The SCI
receive ISR reads the character from the SCI receive register, writes it to a buffer; and signals a semaphore
that enables the SCI input driver task sci_drv. When the SCI input driver task executes, it can read the
character from the buffer and enqueue the character in the RTXC input queue.
