Character code setting
There are 256 characters (00 to FF hexadecimal).
FE hexadecimal is handled as blank data.
Nothing is displayed, whatever the other conditions are set to.
FF hexadecimal functions as the transfer termination code for
character-code-only continuous transfers.
Continuous transfer mode is set up by setting the data 0 bit
(DATAFMT) in COMMAND 2 to 1.
