3.11 Regulatory Compliance
The 10 Gbps 1310 nm multiprotocol XFP optical transceiver is lead-free and RoHS
6/6 compliant per Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the
Council of 27 January 2003 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous sub-
stances in electrical and electronic equipment.
The JDSU 10 Gbps 1310 nm multiprotocol XFP optical transceiver complies with
international electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and international safety re-
quirements and standards. EMC performance is dependent on the overall system
design. Information included herein is intended as a figure of merit for designers
to use as a basis for design decisions.
