MODES OF OPERATION
Host Microcontroller
Out of the box the SiFLEX02-HP module
contains an 802.15.4 based application that
uses a host serial processor. This allows
features of the module to be explored with the
LSR PC based test tool, or controlled with a
host microcontroller. The advantage of this
method is simplicity; all major features of using
the radio are simplified into a simple serial
message, taking the burden of becoming a
radio expert off the developer.
Use the Communications Log in the
ModFLEX™ Test Tool software and serial host
protocol documents to see the messages in
action. It will help you become familiar with the
serial commands and how to implement them
on your own microcontroller.
