5.8 LOW VOLTAGE DETECTOR (LVD) RESET
The on-chip Low Voltage Detector (LVD) gener-
ates LVDRESET when the supply voltage drops
below a reference value (brown-out protection).
The reference value for the voltage drop is lower
than the reference value for power-up in order to
avoid a parasitic reset when the MCU starts run-
ning and sinks current on the supply (hysteresis).

start the microcontroller.
The Low Voltage Detector circuitry resets only the
MCU and it does not change the external RESET
pin status: no reset signal for an external applica-
tion is generated.
