sensing small, randomly
positioned objects are ideal

sensing fiber optic cables.
They project a wide plane
of light that can detect very
small objects anywhere
within the width of the
beam. Use them for
detecting pills in packaging
and similar applications.
When it is critical to
position objects or
machinery accurately and
consistently, Omron
provides a solution with a
unique coaxial cable design
that surrounds the light
emitting fiber with light
detection fibers.
Detect extremely small
objects, as small as
0.5 mm, in very space-
restricted areas. Most are
available with bendable
"probe" tips that let you
mount the head away from
the detection area and bend
the probe tip to the precise
sensing area.
