Precautions
When operating with a screwdriver, turn it gently using a watch-
maker’s screwdriver. (Torque: less than 0.1 N m)
Push type (Tool required)
Locking type (Tool required)
Without an electric signal for the solenoid valve the
manual override is used for switching the main
valve. Push type is standard. Locking type (Tool re-
quired) is available as an option.
• To attach a connector, hold the lever and connector unit be-
• To detach a connector, remove the pawl from the groove by
tween your fingers and insert straight onto the pins of the
solenoid valve so that the lever’s pawl is pushed into the
groove and locks.
pushing the lever downward with your thumb, and pull the
connector straight out.

3. Surge voltage countermeasures
1. L/M-type plug connector
2. DIN terminal
Note) Surge voltage suppressor of varistor has residual voltage
When shutting off the DC power supply using an emergency
circuit breaker, the valve may operate incorrectly due to surge
voltage generated by other electric parts (e.g., the solenoid).
To ensure that surge does not affect the valve, take anti-surge
measures (diode for surge protection, etc.) or use a valve with
diode to prevent reverse current. (Contact SMC for model
numbers.)
