Analog Output
Figure 20 illustrates an optional application circuit to support the analog output capability of the Si3038 for call
progress monitoring purposes. The AOUT level can be set to 0 dB, –6 dB, –12 dB, and mute for both transmit and
receive paths through the ATM/ARM bits in register 5Ch. U1 provides a gain of 26 dB. Additional gain adjustments
may be made by varying the voltage divider created by R1 and R3.
