1 Precautions on Using the Emulator
Thank you for purchasing the H8S/2140 E6000 emulator.
Please note the followings when using this version of the H8S/2140 E6000 emulator.
1.1 Devices that cannot be Emulated Independently by E6000
1.2 I/O Register
1.3 Change of Attribute in Emulation Area

Note: 'O' means the emulator is available, and 'X' means unavailable.
When the following devices are emulated, an expansion board and a user cable are required besides the
E6000 station. Therefore, do not select the corresponding devices when the following expansion boards
and user cables are disconnected.
When Custom is selected in Device, I/O registers that have been enabled by Modules are shown in the
[IO] window without conditions.
When the E6000 H8/3577 Emulator platform is selected and Custom is selected as an emulation device,
the LPWRCR register is displayed on the [Power_Down_Mode_Registers] item in the [IO] window.
However, do not this register because it is not used for the H8/35xx group.
In H8/3577, H8/3574, H8/3567, or H8/3564 emulation, H'F000 to H'FE4F is the reserved area. In
H8/3567U or H8/3564U emulation, H'F000 to H'F7FF is the reserved area.
Do not change the attributes in these areas from 'User Guarded'.
In H8S series emulation, when the following areas have been described as reserved in the hardware
manual for each MCU, do not change the attributes in the target areas from 'User Guarded'.
When an address range is set as the address condition and byte data as the data condition, a break will
occur only at even addresses in the address range. When an address range is set as the address condition,
do not set an odd address as the Address Lo condition. Otherwise, a break will not occur even when the
conditions are satisfied.
Reserved Area
H’F800 to H’FE4F
H’FFF800 to H’FFFE4F
