Quality Conform ance Inspection
The applicable inspection plan will specify the sam pling acceptable quality level to be used. Dim ensional
and functional requirem ents shall be in accordance with the applicable product drawing and this
specification.
Sam ple Selection
Contacts shall be prepared in accordance with applicable Instruction Sheets. They shall be
selected at random from current production. All test groups shall consist of 10 sam ples of each
part num ber (pin and socket). One-half of the sam ples shall be crim ped to m axim um gauge wire
and the other half crim ped to m inim um gauge wire. All wire lengths shall be a m inim um of 12
inches.

Test Sequence
Qualification inspection shall be verified by testing sam ples as specified in Figure 2.
Acceptance

Precious m etal plated contacts shall be crim ped to wire conform ing to MIL-W -16878/4, Type
E.
Tin plated contacts shall be crim ped to wire conform ing to MIL-W -16878/1, Type B.
All sam ples tested in accordance with this specification shall m eet the stated tolerance lim it.
Failures attributed to equipm ent, test setup, or operator deficiencies shall not disqualify the
product. W hen product failure occurs, corrective action shall be taken and sam ples
resubm itted for qualification.
