6. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
6.1 MPU interface
6.1.1 Interface type selection
S1D15715 Series can transfer data via 8-bit bi-directional buses (D7 to D0) or via serial data input (SI).
Through selecting the P/S pin polarity to HIGH or LOW, it is possible to select either 8-bit parallel data input or
serial data input as shown in Table 1.
6.1.2 Parallel interface
When the parallel interface has been selected (P/S=HIGH), then it is possible to connect directly to either an
80-series MPU or 68-series MPU (as shown in Table 2) by selecting C86 pin to either HIGH or LOW.
Moreover, the S1D15715 Series identifies the data bus signal according to A0,
shown in Table 3.
