This section examines the MCF523x on-chip modules and highlights differences between these modules
and those found on the MC68332. Modules with similar functionality are compared first followed by
modules found only on the MCF523x.
2.4.1
The MCF523x and MC68332 share several modules that provide similar functionality. Each of these
modules is discussed in the following sections.

One of the most compelling reasons to migrate to the MCF523x family from the MC68332 is the addition
