Startup Software Algorithm
Atmel ATA6843/ATA6844
Basically, the software is separated into two parts: the driver part and the sensor part. The
driver part contains PWM generation and commutation control. The sensor part contains ana-
log comparators for back EMF feedback and ADC measurements for current feedback.
Differentiation between the parts is more strictly emphasized during the startup sequence.
The startup sequence is controlled by a state machine, see
Figure 9-6.
