5.7.1 13192-EVB Setup for USB Operation (Test Tool Utilities)
To setup the 13192-EVB for USB operation, perform the following steps.
1. Plug the 13192-EVB into a USB port of the PC with the supplied USB cable.
2. Switch the EVB power switch (S106) to USB.
3. Follow the Windows Hardware Manager default options during the driver install.
4. After the install is complete, reboot the system.

5.8 Embedded Bootloader
The Embedded Bootloader allows users to flash the 13192-EVB and 13192-SARD without the
BDM programmer/debugger. The Embedded Bootloader is located in a protected 4KB flash
block in the highest memory area (0xF000-0xFFFF) of the MC9S08GT60 which is located on
the 13192-SARD and 13192-EVB boards. If you flash the board with a BDM, the Embedded
Bootloader code is overwritten and you cannot use the Embedded Bootloader utility until you re-
flash the Embedded Bootloader code on the board.
