Set MCLR to ground (zero).

Open the PICkit 2 Settings dialog (see Section A.4 “Settings Dialog”.) Set up
automatic options and enable/disable warnings.

Read the target EEDATA memory

Erase the target device memories

Release from Reset

Connect
