The following optimizations are part of each compiler.
MPLAB C18 and MPLAB C30 use different COFF File Formats that are not
interchangeable.
For the right-shift of a negative-signed integral value:
• MPLAB C18 does not retain the sign bit
• MPLAB C30 retains the sign bit
