A system-level block diagram incorporating the EVAL-ADV7174/79EBM is shown on
figure 2-2. Typical commercially available test equipment is also shown. The primary
features of this configuration, which is used for system evaluation, are:

Video source to the EVAL-ADV7174/79EBM is provided by the
Deserializer module
Device registers can be manipulated through the RJ11 port, using a PC and
the appropriate evaluation software.
Device performance can be measured with a video analyser.
Device performance can be viewed and /or compared with the source
video.
Features on other compatible modules such as the ADV7170/71/72/73
encoder can also be evaluated with this configuration.
