For OTG applications, the ID (identification) pin is connected to the ID pin of the micro-AB
receptacle. As defined in On-The-Go Supplement to the USB 2.0 Specification Rev. 1.2 ,
the ID pin dictates the initial role of the link. If ID is detected as HIGH, the link must
assume the role of a peripheral. If ID is detected as LOW, the link must assume a host
role. Roles can be swapped at a later time by using HNP.
The ISP1508 provides an internal pull-up resistor (R
pin. The pull-up resistor must first be enabled by setting the ID_PULLUP register bit to
logic 1. If the value on ID has changed, the ISP1508 will send an RXCMD or interrupt to
the link. If the link does not receive any RXCMD or interrupt by time t
has not changed.
The ISP1508 also provides an internal weak pull-up resistor (R
pull-up resistor is always enabled to avoid the possible floating condition on the ID pin.
The ID pin can be left open when not in use.
Main input supply voltage for the ISP1508. The ISP1508 operates correctly when V
between 3.0 V and 4.5 V. A 0.1 F decoupling capacitor is recommended.
