1.13.3 Chassis Intrusion and Detection
1.14 Power Management
The Desktop Boards D845EBG2 and D845EPT2 support a chassis security feature that detects if
the chassis cover is removed. For the chassis intrusion circuit to function, the chassis’ power
supply must be connected to AC power. The security feature uses a mechanical switch on the
chassis that attaches to the chassis intrusion connector. The mechanical switch is open for normal
computer operation.
NOTE
Chassis intrusion detection may be implemented using Intel LANDesk Client Manager or
third-party software.
Power management is implemented at several levels, including:
Software support through Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI)
Hardware support:
