12.2 ATM UTOPIA Interface Logic
The RS8234 ATM UTOPIA interface logic consists of the I/O drivers required to
communicate with the external framer device, together with adaptation logic
required to convert between either the UTOPIA or slave UTOPIA interface
protocol, and the internal byte streams. Configuration pins (FRCFG[1:0])
determine whether the UTOPIA or slave UTOPIA protocol will be used.
