3.1 Content
The support DVD contains the following files:
3.2 VMWare image setup
The VMWare image contains a Xubuntu Linux installation (http://www.xubuntu.org/).
Choose it as your development environment if you want to develop in a Linux environment
on a Windows PC, or if you want to have a separate Linux installation for Blackfin uClinux
development.
First, unpack the file
If you don’t have VMWare Workstation or VMWare Player installed, download and install
the
http://www.vmware.com/products/player/. After installation, open the VMWare image you
just unpacked by selecting “Open an existing Virtual Machine” and choosing the file
Bluetechnix Development Environment.vmx

3.2.1 Install packages
Now you have to install the tool chain, the uClinux distribution and the U‐Boot sources.
Insert the Support DVD into your DVD drive. If it does not show up automatically on the
desktop, select the following from the VMWare Player menu:
