The values programmed in the RBAx registers are unaffected by reset. See

When the address matches to more than one enabled portion of the overlay region, the effective region is
the region with the highest priority. Priority is determined by the region number; the highest priority
assigned to the lowest region number.

The benefit from this priority feature is that by storing the parameters in eight overlay regions, it overlays
all eight regions onto the same 512-byte Flash region, and enables the overlay feature. Upon observing
system performance with a set of parameters, the next set of parameters can be selected by simply
disabling the highest priority region. This “observing and disabling the highest priority region” loop can
continue until all regions are disabled. This allows moving from one set of parameters to another with
