The battery holder BT1 accepts one or two CR2016
3V lithium batteries, positive side up. While most
encoder models will demonstrate reliable operation
down to 2V, the demo RF oscillator circuit is only
ensured to operate properly down to 4.5V.
The LED functionality varies with the encoder model
mounted in the transmitter’s socket. Its connection
changes with the encoder model as well. Jumper JP2
must be set according to the following Table 6-1:

The Programming Connector (J1) on the left side of
Figure 6-1 enables the transmitter’s direct connection
to the
Programming™ (ICSP™). Each demo transmitter can
therefore be re-configured without removing the
encoder from the transmitter board.
