Type 2 Coordination
C-2000 contactors and starters have been tested and certified to
meet IEC 947.4 Type 2 coordination when protected with the
type “J” fuses shown below.
“Type 2 coordination requires that, under short-circuit
conditions, the contactor or starter shall cause no danger to
persons or installation and shall be suitable for further use.
The risk of contact welding is recognized, in which case the
manufacturer shall indicate the measures to be taken as regards
the maintenance of the equipment.” (IEC 947.4)

Type 2 - Maintenance Procedure, C-2000 Products
Before Working on Contactor/Starter, make sure all electrical power is
turned off, including the control voltage.
Step 1. Tighten down all terminals, on the CL00 thru CL45, (including
