You can utilize the on-chip encryption/decryption co-processor for more time and power effective firmware.
The co-processor is an 8 by 8 Galois Field Multiplier with an 8 bits output. The following polynomial is
used:
m(x) = x8 + x4 + x3 + x + 1
This is the polynomial used by AES (Advanced Encryption Standard).
