Value Description
Upper digit of the Binary Coded Decimal (BCD) year count
Lower digit of the BCD year count. Years cycle 00 (BCD) to 99

RTC runs continuously after startup, even through brownouts
and watchdog resets
When writing the RTC, all bytes must be written, and LSB
(address 11) must be written last
When reading the RTC, the LSB must be read first
