Chapter 11 Serial Communications Interface (SCI) Module
The MC9S08RDxx, MC9S08RExx, and MC9S08RGxx devices include a serial communications interface
(SCI) module, which is sometimes called a universal asynchronous receiver/transmitters (UART). The
SCI module shares pins with PTB0 and PTB1 port pins. When the SCI is enabled, the pins are controlled
by the SCI module.
