EEPROM Configuration Contents
Read/Write Access to the EEPROM
The VSC8641 device also has the ability to read from and write to an EEPROM such as
an ATMEL AT24CXXX that is directly connected to its EECLK and EEDAT pins. If it is
required to be able to write to the EEPROM, refer to the EEPROM’s specific datasheet to
ensure that write protection on the EEPROM is not set.
The following illustration shows the interaction of the VSC8641 device and the EEPROM.
