The bit shift is performed on half-bit steps, not on a clock basis. It is a true bit shift, it
means that with a data rate equals to the data clock frequency (e.g. 4.096 Mbit/s with
4.096 MHz data clock) programming a bit shift of 1-bit results on a shift of 1 clock period,
and programming a shift of half-bit the result is a shift of half clock period. Running in
double data clock rate (e.g. 4.096 Mbit/s with 8.192 MHz data clock), a bit shift of 1-bit
results on a shift of 2 clock periods and a shift of half-bit will result on a shift of 1 clock
period.
