9 HCI Features
The HCI provides a command interface to the baseband controller and link manager, and access to
hardware status and control registers. This interface provides a uniform method of accessing the Bluetooth
baseband capabilities. Table 65 shows the currently supported HCI commands. The commands are divided
into the following major groupings: link control, link policy, host/baseband, events, informational
parameters, status parameters, and testing. The following list shows some of the key features of the HCI:
