This section describes the preliminary performance of the SIDEC. The measurements
are based on the preliminary emulation results. The test, signals and methods are
described in ITU G.168. For the measurements a regular analog hybrid with 6 dB echo
return loss is used. No significant difference for high dispersion hybrids is expected,
since the SIDEC evaluates not only a "echo window" but the complete echo path delay
time.
