The PT changes the mode when
host link communication is used.
One of the percentage display
settings — –100%, 0%, or 100% —
is incorrect.
The cycle for graph display update
processing is longer than the set
sampling cycle.
The communication settings are
incorrect.
A Programming Console is
connected.
The PC does not support the
Programming Console function.
The system program for other
vendor’s PCs has been installed.
(PC models other than OMRON.)
The communications protocol setting
at the PT is not 1:1 NT Link or 1:N
NT Link.
The system program installed in the
PT is for a PC maker other than
OMRON.
• The PT was turned OFF.
• The PT was reset.
The cable was disconnected while
Device Monitor was being used and
then connected to a PC with a
smaller data area.
Cause
This is an PT specification. When using a PC that
can also be connected using the NT link method,
use an NT link connection (there is no mode change
with the NT link method).
Set the –100%, 0%, and 100% values in the
following relationship:
–100% value < 0% value < 100% value
Delete other elements on the same screen as the
trend graph that are allocated to the host and have
a high update frequency. Or lengthen the sampling
cycle.
Set the communication method/communication port
as follows when using the Programming Console
function.
- With C series PLC : NT Link : 1 : 1
- With CS1 series PLC : NT Link : 1 : N
It is not possible to use a Programming Console and
the Programming Console function at the same
time. Disconnect the Programming Console.
Not all PCs support the Programming Console
function. Check the model of PC you are using.
(Refer to Programming Console Function in section
6 in the Setup Manual .)
The Programming Console function can be used
only when the system program for OMRON PCs is
installed. Install the correct system program.
Check the memory switches (fourth screen) and set
the connected PC’s serial port protocol to 1:1 NT
Link or 1:N NT Link. Set the same protocol in the
PC.
The Device Monitor function can be used only when
the PT is connected to an OMRON PC. Refer to
Version Display in section 6 in the Setup Manual
and check the system program type. Only OMRON
Direct Access system programs with version
numbers Ver. 3.j and higher can use the Device
Monitor function.
The words monitored by Device Monitor are
retained even if the Device Monitor is closed, but
the information is cleared when the PT is turned
OFF or reset.
Specify the desired words again.
If the cable is connected again to another PC, the
PT will clear any word addresses that aren’t
supported in that PC. Check the ranges of data
areas in the PC and set word addresses within
those ranges.
