BitBLT Operation
When the Source and Destination Locations Overlap
When the source and destination locations are both within the frame buffer, it is possible to have BitBLT
operations in which these locations overlap. This frequently occurs in BitBLT operations where a user is
shifting the position of a graphical item on the display by only a few pixels. In these situations, the BitBLT
engine must be programmed so that output destination data is not written to the part of the destination that
overlaps the source before the source data in the area of overlap has been read. Otherwise, the source
data will become corrupted as shown in the figure below.
