These bits are used to indicate the LCD panel size and type to the video BIOS software as shown
in the following table.
The SDU8106B0F Evaluation Board is a 16-bit ISA-Bus I/O card. MD4 configuration input selects
between 8-bit and 16-bit ISA-Bus operation. MD4 input is left open to support 16-bit ISA-Bus
operation. For the purpose of this design 8-bit ISA-Bus operation is not supported.
The MD5 input selects configuration between standard ISA bus interface and a Modified Address
Timing. The MD5 input is set to a logic low on power-up to select standard ISA bus interface. For
the purpose of this design, the Modified Address Timing is not supported.
