Injector/Ejector Switch Closed
Board Removal
Board removal consists of four stages (the opening the board clamp and the sequential
disconnection of three groups of pins) as outlined in the following subsections.
Injector/Ejector Switch Opened
The Injector/Ejector switch only needs to be opened slightly in this procedure.
Short Pins Disconnect
The Injector/Ejector switch is fully opened in this procedure.
Medium Pins Disconnect
Long Pins Disconnect
Board Reset
The IXB2850 board reset circuit is shown in
• The BMC sends a notification to the ShMC that the board has just been inserted.
• The BMC enables the board power supply.
• The blue LED is off.
• Board insertion is complete.
• The BMC sends a notification to the ShMC that the board is going to be removed.
• The BMC disables the board power supply.
• The blue LED is lit, indicating that the board can be safely removed.
• The blue LED is turned off.
• The BMC local system is stopped.
• The VRTN_MLBF_A pin and the VRTN_MLBF_B pin are removed at the same time.
• The -48V_A pin and the -48V_B pin are removed at different times.
• The main power is disconnected.
• The -48 volt early power supply, -48 volt ground, logic ground, and chassis ground
