(b) Rewriting TQnCCR0 register
The transfer timing in Figure 10-28 is at the point where the crest timing occurs. While the 16-bit counter is
counting down, the cycle changes and an asymmetrical triangular wave is output. Because the cycle
changes, rewrite the duty factor (voltage data value).
When rewriting the TQnCCR0 register in the batch rewrite mode, the output waveform differs depending
on whether transfer occurs at the crest (match between the 16-bit counter value and TQnCCR0 register
value) or at the valley (match between the 16-bit counter value and 0001H). Usually, it is recommended to
rewrite the TQnCCR0 register while the 16-bit counter is counting down, and transfer the register value at
the transfer timing of the crest timing.
Figure 10-28 shows an example of rewriting the TQnCCR0 register while the 16-bit counter is counting up
(during period <1> in Figure 10-27). Figure 10-29 shows an example of rewriting the TQnCCR0 register
while the counter is counting down (during period <2> in Figure 10-27).
