The OTP DATA PROTECT (A5h-10h) command is used to protect all the data in the OTP
area. After the data is protected it cannot be programmed further. When the OTP area is
protected, the pages within the area are no longer programmable and cannot be unpro-
tected.
To use the OTP DATA PROTECT command, issue the A5h command. Next, issue the fol-
lowing 5 ADDRESS cycles: 00h-00h-01h-00h-00h. Finally, issue the 10h command.
If an OTP DATA PROGRAM command is issued after the OTP area has been protected,
R/B# will go LOW for
The READ STATUS (70h) command is the only command valid during the OTP DATA
PROTECT operation. Bit 5 of the status register will reflect the state of R/B#.
When the device is ready, read bit 0 of the status register to determine if the operation
passed or failed (see Table 11 on page 34).
