16-Bit Modulo Timer (MTIM16)
In the example of
Figure
19-8, the selected clock source could be any of the four possible choices. The
prescaler is set to PS = %0010 or divide-by-4. The modulo value in the MTIMxMODH:L register is set to
0x01AA. When the counter, MTIMxCNTH:L, reaches the modulo value of 0x01AA, the counter
overflows to 0x0000 and continues counting. The timer overflow flag, TOF, sets when the counter value
changes from 0x01AA to 0x0000. An MTIM16 overflow interrupt is generated when TOF is set, if TOIE
= 1.
