ADC Application Information
ADVREF
The user can correct the gain and offset errors by calibration. The calibration values (for gain
and offset) have been stored in the Flash during test for the mode single ended with gain =1.
The calibration values are stored after the Unique Identifier. The Offset value register is next
after the Unique Identifier, at the address 0x80010, and the Gain calibration is at the address
0x80014. Refer to the Unique Identifier section to know how to enter into the Unique Identifier
mode.
For more information on how to use these calibration values, refer to the Application note "Ana-
log-to-Digital Converter in the SAM3S" chapter "ADC calibration".
The following figure gives a simplified acquisition path.

The user can drive ADC input with impedance of Zsource up to:
with SHTIM (Sample and Hold Time register) expressed in ns and Z
Note:
For more information on data converter terminology, please refer to the application note:

• In 10-bit mode: SHTIM = 0.042 x Zsource + 160
• In 12-bit mode: SHTIM= 0.054 x Zsource + 205
